GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College coaching staff will join coaches from across the country in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week is a nationwide event when basketball coaches across the country unite for a common cause – saving lives from cancer! Coaches and their staff across the nation wear sneakers with their suits during games to raise awareness and help save lives from cancer by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.
Gettysburg Head Coach
B.J. Dunne and assistants
Mike McSloy and
Dan Haddon will don sneakers to go with their usual coaching attire as the Bullets take on Dickinson College Thursday at 6 p.m. and Haverford College Saturday at 3 p.m.
Fans can show their support for Coaches vs. Cancer by making a donation at either of this week's contests. All proceeds will be sent to the NABC, which has raised over $100 million for the American Cancer Society since 1993.
