How It Happened…
- First Quarter: Gettysburg turned in its quickest goal of 2019 just 67 seconds into the contest. Beccaria dropped a pass in front of the cage and Soares tapped it through the goalie's feet for her team-best seventh goal of the season. The Bullets dominated the opening period, firing off nine shots while holding Stevenson without a look at the cage.
- Second Quarter: The Mustangs came to life at the end of the second period, posting a pair of penalty corners and three shots. None of the attempts were on the mark and the deficit remained a goal.
- Third Quarter: Gettysburg fired up three shots at the cage in the opening minutes of the second half, but Nyarady prevented each from going into the goal. Stevenson managed its final shot of the contest in the 40th minute.
- Fourth Quarter: The Mustangs found no give to the Bullets' backline as the visitors were held outside the scoring area for most of the period and did not manage a shot or penalty corner.
By the Numbers
- Gettysburg out-shot Stevenson 22-4. The Bullets have posted 20 or more shots in their last four outings and have out-shot their opponents 97-29 during that stretch. Only 14 of those opponent shots have been on goal.
- Gettysburg is 15-2 all-time and 5-0 this season when Soares scores a goal. The senior has already tied her career high with 19 points this season.
- The Bullets recorded their fourth shutout of the season. That's tied for the most since the squad notched five in 2010.
