How It Happened…
- First Half: Gettysburg jumped onto the scoreboard quickly as Fife followed a deflection off Molina's shot attempt with 2:27 on the clock. Salisbury looked to get the equalizer 11 minutes later as Alex Floyd headed the ball towards the net, but Muhic made the stop. The Sea Gulls held the slim 8-5 lead in shots, including back-to-back attempts in the final three minutes that were blocked, with Muhic turning aside three to keep the Bullets ahead 1-0 at halftime.
- Second Half: The physicality picked up between the two squads, and Fife notched his second goal of the night 15 minutes into the second half. O'Donnell, the conference leader in assists, dished a perfect ball from the right side to Fife as he headed the ball into the back of the net. The Sea Gulls accrued two shots and forced two corner kicks before slicing the deficit 10 minutes later. Ben Pigg tallied his first career goal as he shot from the right side into the lower left of the net to put Salisbury within one. A free kick opportunity allowed Molina to collect his second assist on the night as Fife fought for the ball to drill his third goal in the 82nd minute. Salisbury attempted four more shots after that, but they were either blocked or sailed high. Gettysburg hung on for the 3-1 victory to remain unbeaten on Clark Field.
