  • Hannah Roth: 5 Saves

Game Summary
  • First Quarter: The early going was quiet as the two teams managed only three off-target shots in the opening minutes of play. Davis put Haverford on the board with a solo effort, sprinting down the side of the field with the ball and slipping a shot past Besselman for the first score at 10:04. Beccaria had a pair of shots in front of the goal swiped away by Roth in the 13th minute.
  • Second Quarter: Haverford produced a pair of shots that sailed wide early in the second period. It was another full 10 minutes before either team managed another look at the cage, but once again Roth proved impassable, thwarting a shot by senior Henna Fraiman (Lutherville, Md./Roland Park Country) in the 28th minute.
  • Third Quarter: With Roth picking up another save earlier in the period, Haverford went in search of an insurance goal. Ravenel started the counter-attack by racing up the field and putting a shot toward the goal. Besselman deflected the attempt with her stick, but Kim corralled the loose ball and put just enough juice on the shot for it to trickle into the cage for a 2-0 lead.
  • Fourth Quarter: Ahart padded the lead early in the final period by collecting a ball in front of the cage and sliding it into the right corner. Roth recorded her game-high fifth save on a shot by Beccaria in the 54th minute. Bertrando managed a strong shot in the direction of the cage in the 58th minute, but the ball missed just outside the right post.

By the Numbers
  • Gettysburg out-shot Haverford 16-9 and led in penalty corners 4-1.
  • Haverford was Gettysburg's fifth nationally-ranked foe of the season. The Fords managed to post the first shutout against the Bullets this fall.
  • Before the game, the Bullets recognized their six seniors: Beccaria, Bertrando, Besselman, Fraiman, Christina Orio (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee), and Noa Potoczak (Medford, N.J./Shawnee).
