Gettysburg also appeared in the 2017 semifinals as the third seed but fell 1-0 against Franklin & Marshall. Previous Meeting
Gettysburg played its fourth conference game of the season at then-ranked No. 8 Johns Hopkins. It was a physical game against the nationally-ranked opponents, but the Blue Jays scored at the 4:04 marker and added another in the 86th minute to claim the 2-0 victory on Oct. 2. Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins were equally matched, statistically, with Johns Hopkins holding a 12-11 advantage in shots while the Bullets earned an 8-3 edge in corner kicks. CC Opening Round
Gettysburg broke through in the 93rd minute when junior Jack Carroll (Leonia, N.J./Bergen Catholic) knocked in the game-winning goal to lift the Bullets past fourth seed Swarthmore College in the opening round of the CC Championship on Tuesday night at Clothier Field. It was a low shooting performance for the Garnet and Bullets as they combined for seven total in the opening half. The second half saw one goal scored apiece, with Swarthmore posting the first in the 73rd minute. Gettysburg made it count when they notched its only shot on goal in the second half when junior Mike Carracino (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) found the back of the net for his first career tally in the 76th minute to tie it up 1-1. Muller and Colton Ward (Upper Marlboro, Md./Georgetown Preparatory) were each credited with an assist. Muhic finished the game with four saves.
