Match Summary
Looking to defend its 2019 conference title, Gettysburg rolled out to a three-stroke lead over Franklin & Marshall with a first-round total of 311. The Bullets managed to jump in front of the Diplomats thanks to a round-high 10 birdies on the course.

Greene accounted for three of those birdies as he finished one stroke shy of his personal collegiate low. The Gettysburg senior was one-over on the front nine with a birdie on the par-5, 511-yard sixth hole followed by back-to-back bogeys on seven and eight. Greene kicked off the back nine with a birdie on No. 10 and he posted his third birdie of the round on the par-4, 371-yard 17th hole, adding six pars and a bogey on the back of the course. Greene holds a four-stroke lead over Jas Fuhrer from F&M.

Junior Hayden Moffat (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) sits sixth after notching a 78 on Saturday. Like Greene, Moffat's best scores came on the back half of the course with two birdies, the first on the par-5, 491-yard 14th and the second on the par-4, 385-yard 18th. Moffat was four-over on the front nine and three-over on the back.

Freshman Cameron Deiuliis (Highland, Md./River Hill) accounted for Gettysburg's remaining two birdies as he tied for 14th with an 82. Deiuliis logged his birdies on back-to-back holes on the front nine, shooting under par on No. 4 and No. 5. He ran off five consecutive pars to start the back nine.
