How It Happened…
- First Half: The Dutchmen never trailed after scoring the game's first two goals in the opening half. Lebanon Valley's Josh Kline scored the first goal 10 minutes in, while Aidan Negron notched the second at the 23:30 marker. Gettysburg saw opportunities to put one into the net as they outshot LVC 10-5, including three shots on goal in the last 10 minutes. Diallo took all three shots on goal, with one being a penalty kick, all of which were stopped by Sean Quirk.
- Second Half: Lebanon Valley tacked on its third goal four minutes into the second half to extend the lead 3-0. Five minutes later, the offense started flowing for Gettysburg as O'Donnell took a penalty kick that went into the left side of the net for the first tally. Diallo then blasted a goal at the 64:50 marker to slice the deficit down to one. Less than a minute later, the Dutchmen snuck one into the back of the net to push their advantage 4-2. The Bullets kept the comeback hopes alive as freshman Aidan Gaynor (Parsippany, N.J./Pingry School) dished a pass off to Carroll, who ripped a shot into the net to put the team back within one with nine minutes to go. Gettysburg battle for a comeback fell short as Lebanon Valley held on for its fifth straight victory.
