How it Happened
First Half: The Bullets started attacking the Bears zone early as the team took six shots and three corner kicks in the first 14 minutes of action. Gettysburg was able to connect at the 24:59 marker as Bedell dribbled down the right side of the field to find Muskus as she drilled a perfect shot into the lower left of the net to make it 1-0. The Orange and Blue looked to tack on a pair to the scoreboard, but Mandy Carideo stopped the shots. Gettysburg held the 11-2 shot advantage.
Second Half: Gettysburg kept pounding at the net and was close to scoring numerous times. The Orange and Blue finally connected on a tally from the first-year Carbonier as she rocketed a beautiful outside-the-box shot into the upper left corner, pushing the advantage to 2-0. The Bullets defense was specular all game and only allowed one shot in the second half.
