Gettysburg snagged three close sets from Stevenson to complete the sweep in a non-conference matchup.
THE LEADERS

Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J/Somerville) tallied a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs.

Chelsea O'Leary (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) registered 19 digs and two aces.

Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) added 15 assists.
THE FOES
• Rileigh Kimball had six kills and nine digs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg and Stevenson stayed within two for most of the first set, and tied the score as late as 20-all. A three-point run by each team yielded another tie at 23-all, before two Bullets kills by
Zanze Kuba-McCoy and
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) won set one for the Bullets.
• In the second set, the Mustangs streaked out to an 8-2 lead before a 10-2 run by the Bullets knotted the score at 12-all. The Mustangs regained their lead for a bit, getting to 15-12, before Gettysburg tied it up and took the lead with an 11-4 run that made the score 23-19. A kill by
Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) and a Mustangs' error capped the set for the Bullets and lengthened their match lead to 2-0.
• In the final set, the lead changed hands nine times, and the score tied 11, the last being at 18-all. The Bullets scored four points to the Mustangs' two, giving Gettysburg the edge 22-20. An error by Stevenson and kill by Gettysburg put the Bullets at match point. Stevenson gained one more point to make the score 24-21, but a service error by the Mustangs solidified the sweep for Gettysburg.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg held advantages in kills 39-32 and digs 63-47.
• This match marked the first time Gettysburg had beaten Stevenson since 2019.
