THE REST OF THE STORY
• Susquehanna marched the game's first possession down the field before the Gettysburg defense forced a 47-yard field goal attempt.
Chris Singleton, Jr. (Catonsville, Md./Georgetown Prep) blocked his third kick of the year and
Josh Williams (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) scooped up the ball and sprinted down the sideline 52 yards, setting up the offense at the River Hawks three-yard line.
• Three plays later, Rocco Abindoor (Edgewater, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis) found
Jake Frisco in the back of the end zone for a four-yard score and 7-0 lead with 10:44 on the clock.
• Susquehanna responded with a 10-play, 79-yard drive to tie the game. D.K. Wyche accounted for the final three yards, powering up the middle for a score.
• The River Hawks' next possession covered 80 yards in just seven plays. Hunter Coulter broke through the line and took the ball 43 yards to the house for a 14-7 lead with 37 seconds remaining in the first period.
• Gettysburg drive to the Susquehanna 5 in the latter part of the second quarter but the drive stalled and the Bullets had to settle for a 22-yard field goal attempt. The River Hawks returned the favor from earlier and Jake Schultes came up the middle and blocked the kick to keep it a 14-7 game.
• Ruisch hit Eddie Nugent for 58 yards on the next Susquehanna offensive play and, two plays later, hit Kyle Howes for a 11-yard score a 21-7 lead at the intermission.
• Gettysburg put together a sustained drive of 12 plays to open the second half but were once again forced to settle for a field goal attempt that was off the mark and the River Hawks took the ensuing drive 80 yards over eight plays to go up 27-7. A one-yard option pitch to Coulter finished the march.
• A five-yard Wyche run and 51-yard Brayden Knoblauch-to-Rowen Hershey connection accounted for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns and the final margin.
