Gettysburg battled Haverford to three close set wins on Saturday afternoon.
THE LEADERS

Alycen Radolovic (Willoughy, Ohio/Beaumont School) led the Bullets in kills with eleven.

Sophie Nasir (Covina, Calif./St. Lucy's Priory) tallied 20 assists.

Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J/Colts Neck) put down five blocks.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Haverford and Gettysburg stayed close early in the first set, notching a tie at 4-all. From there, the Bullets pulled away, going 10-4 to make the score 14-8. The Fords were able to bring the score within five at 20-15, and then went 5-3 to reduce the Bullets lead at three at 23-20. The Bullets got to set point off a kill by
Kylie Ulrich (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), but the Fords grabbed one more point off a Bullets' error. Radolovic sealed the set one win for the Bullets with a kill.
• The teams again were close within the beginning of the second set, which held five tie scores and three lead changes. Gettysburg and Haverford stayed tied until 7-all, where two service aces got them to 9-7 and helped clear the way for a Bullets' run. They went 11-7 with Haverford to gain a six-point lead, 20-14. Haverford rallied to make the score 22-17, but three Bullets' kills ended the second set and gave them the match advantage, 2-0.
• In the final set, Gettysburg got out to 10-7 over Haverford early on, before grabbing the next four points to force a Haverford timeout. The Fords managed to remain within five at 19-14, before the Bullets made it 22-14 off several Fords' errors. Not to be counted out, Haverford made a strong final push by nabbing five straight points to bring them within three, 22-19. Ultimately, a kill, ace, and block by Gettysburg won them the match, 3-0.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg had large margins over Haverford in kills, 46-28, and digs, 54-37.

Chelsea O'Leary (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) tallied 16 digs and two aces for Gettysburg.
