THE SKINNY STORY
A goal from
Sam Woolery (Media, Pa./Penncrest) in the second quarter stood up as the only tally and led Gettysburg to a 1-0 win over McDaniel.
THE LEADERS
• Woolery found the back of the net midway through the second quarter, marking the first of her career.

Emilia Saccento (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) made five saves in goal to earn the shutout.
FOR THE FOES
• Mikayla Smith made seven saves in goal for McDaniel.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first quarter was scoreless for both teams, as each of Gettysburg's four shots were blocked by the Green Terror. McDaniel tallied two shots, but neither were on target.
• The only goal of the game in the 27th minute, as Woolery collected a rebounded ball and fired it from the center into the cage.
• McDaniel's best looks all came in the fourth quarter, with Dillan Williams contributing two of four shots that Saccento knocked out of the way.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Haverford held advantages in shots 13-11 and corners 12-5.
• Eight of Gettysburg's shots were on goal, while five of McDaniel's were on the mark.
