Ursinus scored the first 51 points of a 51-16 win over Gettysburg.
THE LEADERS
•
Ryan McAndrew (Denville, N.J./Morris Catholic) caught two long touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. He finished the day with six catches for 154 yards.
FOR THE FOES
• Jack Psenicska led the Bears with 336 yards passing on 21 of 34 with six touchdown passes.
• Dallas Evans hauled in six passes for 156 yards and three scores.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Justin Collier cashed in a seven-play, 65-yard drive with a four-yard catch for a 7-0 lead with 6:11 to play in the first quarter. Four plays after getting a short field, Michael D'Amico doubled the lead from one yard out in the final three minutes of the first quarter.
• After a fumble return for a touchdown was negated on a blindside block, Ursinus needed just one play for a 23-yard connection between Jack Psenicska and Collier just 1:04 into the second quarter.
• Two Dallas Evans touchdowns in the final 3:22 of the second quarter pushed the lead to 35-0 at the break.
• Evans completed his hat trick in the opening minute of the third quarter with a 34-yard grab.
• The Bears went up 51-0 with 3:18 to play before
Chris Singleton, Jr. (Catonsville, Md./Georgetown Prep) blocked his conference-record seventh kick.
Matt Mikulka (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) scooped up the block and returned it down the far sideline for two points.
• On the first play of the fourth quarter,
Rocco Abdinoor (Edgewood, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis) found
Ryan McAndrew in stride for a 43-yard touchdown.
• In the final 33 seconds,
Konrad Vandborg (Gentoffe, Capital Region, Denmark/Rabun Gap) threw his first collegiate touchdown pass when he hit McAndrew on the slant for the final margin.
