THE REST OF THE STORY
• After

Gettysburg opened up the 13-4 lead in the game's first 4:07 to force a Salisbury timeout. The Sea Gulls countered with 10 of the game's next 13 points to close to within two with 11:10 showing. After a
Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./Saint Joseph Hammonton) three-point pushed the lead to 19-14, Craig and Brendan Davis scored the next five to draw the game even midway through the opening half.
• Two of
Antonello Baggi's three triples ignited a 14-0 run over a 2-minute, 41-second stretch to break the first half open. The teams played even over the final six minutes of the stanza for the 12-point advantage by the hosts at the break.
• The lead grew as large as 17 on back-to-back
Ryan McKeon layups that gave the Bullets a 49-32 lead with 16:10 remaining. Salisbury, however, went on an 11-2 run to trim the deficit to eight with 12:57 to play. The advantage remained between seven and 10 points until five straight Sea Gull points made it a 61-58 game with 4:08 showing. Greg Bloodsworth hit a jumper to trim the deficit to 62-60 with 1:44 to play but
Colin Farrell (Matawan, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) drained a triple on the other end to push the lead back to five. Two Bloodsworth free throws once again made it a one-possession game but Carl Scaller was able to dribble away from any foul attempt and take it all the way to the rack for a five-points lead in the final eight seconds. A Davis layup in the final second set the margin.
