Dickinson ran 333 yards as part of a 35-9 win over Gettysburg.
THE LEADERS
•
Rocco Abdinoor (Edgewood, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis) went 12-for-24 for 144 yards through the air but also ran the ball 14 times for 77 yards to lead the Bullets.
•
Matt Mikulka (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) led the defense with nine tackles.
FOR THE FOES
• Diante Ball led the ground game for the Red Devils, carrying the ball 26 times for 277 yards and three touchdowns. He also had four catches for 46 yards and a score.
• Matt Maiona completed 10 of 14 passes for 243 yards and two scores.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After thwarting Gettysburg's opening drive that had marched 42 yards on 11 plays inside the Dickinson 35, the Red Devil offense took over at its own 20 and needed just five plays to take a 7-0 lead. Diante Ball took it the final 31 yards for his first touchdown with 6:29 to play.
• The next Dickinson drive needed just one play for Matt Maiona to find Princeton Douglass streaking down the far sideline for a 73-yard touchdown and 14-0 lead just over three minutes later.
• The Bullets, however, responded with a methodical 12-play, 42-yard drive that ended with a 34-yard
Doug Cummings (Moorestown, N.C./Pleasant Valley [Pa.]) field goal to make it 14-3 with 11;51 to play in the second quarter.
• Ball found the end zone again with 1:40 to play in the first half, hauling in an 18-yard pass to stretch the lead to 21-3 at the break.
• The Gettysburg defense held Dickinson to a three-and-out to start the second half and the offense responded with a big play on the first snap of the ensuing drive.
Rocco Abdinoor found
Ryan McAndrew (Denville, N.J./Morris Catholic) for a 43-yard gain to move to the Red Devil 12. On fourth-and-4, Abdinoor hit
Sebastian Gibbs (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) on a swing pass and the senior found his way to the pylon for a touchdown to close the game to 21-9 after a missed two-point conversion with 9:50 on the clock.
• Two fourth-down stops by the Bullet defense kept it a two-score game into the fourth quarter before Ball broke off a 92-yard run on the first play of a Dickinson drive, stretching the lead to 28-9 with 11:40 showing.
• Another 36-yard touchdown run by Ball sealed the win with 4:20 to play.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The Red Devils retained the Little Brown Bucket for the sixth consecutive meeting.

Chris Lessel (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) added eight tackles and a pass breakup.
•
Ryan McAndrew caught seven passes for 64 yards.
• Dickinson finished with a 576-254 advantage in total offense in a game that featured 21 accepted penalties for 228 yards.
