THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first set saw Gettysburg leading by as much as 8-3, to which Catholic quickly answered with a 15-10 run that gave them an 18-17 edge. The Bullets were able to tie the score four times after that, but it wasn't enough to stop the Rangers' attack, as a pair of service aces from Andrea Camacho-Tenreiro finished off the set for the Rangers.
• The Bullets again lead the first set early, though the Rangers kept the score within three points. A kill by Melina Christodoulou tied the score at 11-11, and two more ties put the set at 13-13. The two teams continued their back and forth, going 10-10 to again knot the score up, 23-23.
Catherine Holtz finally put the set to bed for the Bullets with a kill and a block to tie the game score.
• Both teams came out hot in the third set, which had seven ties and two lead changes to put the score at 10-10. A kill by
Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) assisted by Holtz gave Gettysburg the lead again, and they wouldn't surrender it the rest of the game. The Rangers were able to get the score as close as 24-21 at set point, but a Kuba-McCoy kill sealed the set for the Bullets.
• The final set began much like the third, with 11 ties and seven lead changes to knot the score up at 16-16. A service error by Lauren Gaza for the Rangers enabled an 8-4 Bullets run to bring it to game point. Drew made one final push, getting within one point of the Bullets, but a service error by the Rangers decided the game for Gettysburg.
