A strong attack led the way to a 3-0 finish for Gettysburg over Montclair.
THE LEADERS

Kylie Ulrich (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster) tallied eight kills.

Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) and
Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) each added seven kills.
•
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) had 11 assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Leah Higgins contributed five kills for Montclair.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg dominated the first set, taking the lead from the first point and extending it as big as 17-5. A kill and service ace brought the Red Hawks up to seven points, but an 8-0 run closed out the first set for the Bullets.
• The Bullets again started with a strong lead of 10-4 early on, but the Red Hawks picked up steam, going 19-13 to knot the score at 23-all. An attack error from Katie Rodman put the Bullets at set point, and another from Emma Hatcher sealed the set.
• Gettysburg got out to an 11-4 lead over the Red Hawks, but Montclair still managed to go 10-12 with the Bullets to make the score 23-14. A kill by
Kylie Ulrich brought the Bullets to game point, and
Chelsea O'Leary (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) aced the winning ball.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg had the advantage in kills 37-16 and blocks, 5-4.
•
Zanze Kuba-McCoy and
Chelsea O'Leary were named to the Battlefield Classic All-Tournament team for the Bullets. Kuba-McCoy had 51 kills and hit .385 for the tournament, while O'Leary had 47 digs and 11 assists.
• Leah Higgins was named to the All-Tournament team for Montclair.
