Gettysburg put away the first two sets before rolling to a 25-9 third-set win, defeating Catholic by a 3-0 score.
THE LEADERS

Clare Farrell (Livingston, N.J./Academy of Saint Elizabeth) led the Bullets with 10 kills and five total blocks.

Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) added a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs to go with three aces.

• Jocelyn Fang led the Eagles with 12 kills and eight digs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Four
Erin Gonzalez kills keyed a 6-2 start to the match for Gettysburg. Catholic countered with five of the next six points to tie the set at 7-all. After a back-and-forth stretch, Gonzalez knocked down another kill to make it 17-16 and start a 9-2 finish for a 25-19 win.
Clare Farrell and
Ellen Manke (Madison, N.J./Morristown Beard School) combined for blocks on back-to-back points after the Gonzalez knockdown. Gonzalez then added three aces in a four-point stretch to drive the final run.
• The second set featured 12 ties and eight lead changes. Tied for the final time at 18-all, Farrell and
Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Demarest) put down a pair of blocks to make it 20-18 en route to a 25-20 win.
• Two
Kierra Fox (Phoenix, Ariz./Rancho Solano Prep School) aces around a Gonzalez kill staked the Bullets to a 3-0 lead in the third set. Holding a 9-4 lead, a service error started a 10-1 run. Farrell capped the stretch with four straight kills.

Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) led the defense with 15 digs and a service ace.
