• Gettysburg and Shenandoah both scored one goal in each half in a hard-fought matchup that ended in a 2-all tie.
THE LEADERS

Jalia Musah (Garu Tempane, Ghana/Millbrook School (N.Y.)) netted the first goal of the game in the fourth minute of play.

Grace Slevin (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) scored the Bullets' second goal of the game in the 54th minute.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In a highly competitive matchup, the Bullets struck first with a goal by
Jalia Musah, assisted by
Lena Schaefer, in the fourth minute of play.
• The Hornets quickly answered, with Chandler Gallant tying the score at 1-all only 36 seconds later. The rest of the half was scoreless for both teams.
• In the second half,
Lena Schaefer found
Grace Slevin on a cross in front of the net to put another tally in the Bullets' column in the 57th minute of play.
• Six minutes later, Roxana Nielson again tied the score for the Hornets with an unassisted goal.
• The last 26 minutes of play saw both sides fighting hard for possession but ultimately neither team could find the back of the net again.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Shenandoah finished with advantages in shots 11-5 and corner kicks 4-2.

Sammy Grayson (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) made four saves at goal for the Bullets.
• Per new NCAA rules in 2022, all regular-season games are draws when tied at the end of 90 minutes. Overtime is no longer contested until postseason contests.
