Gettysburg dunked off the opening tip and blocked a shot at the other end then never trailed in a 74-59 win over Muhlenberg.

• Off the opening tip,
Elijah Williams corralled the ball and took it up for a dunk. On the first defensive possession,
Ryan McKeon (Landenberg, Pa./Sanford [Del.]) blocked Muhlenberg's first attempt of the night. The teams went back-and-forth for the next 10 minutes and
Antonello Baggi (Cremona, Italy/West Deptford [N.J.]) drained a 3-pointer for a 20-14 lead with 9:20 to play, igniting a 16-4 run over the next five minutes top open up a 15-point advantage. Five different Bullets scored during the run. The Mules closed to within 34-24 on a Giovanni Rubino layup with 1:47 to play but Gettysburg tallied the final five of the half to take a 15-point lead into the lockerroom.
• The lead remained between 13 and 16 points until back-to-back triples from
Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Baggi made it a 55-34 game with 11:29 remaining. Muhlenberg trimmed the lead to 12 twice over the final five minutes but could get no closer.
THE INSIDE STORY

Carl Schaller and
Ryan McKeon rounded out a quartet of double-digit scorers for Gettysburg with 13 and 11 points, respectively. McKeon added three assists, two steals, and two blocks. Schaller had three assists and three steals.
• The Bullets shot 51.9 percent for the game, including 57.1 in the decisive first half.
