Gettysburg controlled play the almost the whole way through, but took until the second half to get on the board and set a 3-0 final margin against McDaniel.
THE LEADERS

Alex Wenz (Blue Bell, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) scored her first goal of the season and the third goal of the game.

Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) tallied the first goal of the game in the 37th minute.

Hailey Rhine (Denver, Colo./St. Mary's Academy) tapped in the second goal of the game just before the end of the third quarter.
FOR THE FOES
• McDaniel goalie Lora Scarangello made four saves.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg kept the ball on their attacking end for much of the first half and registered five shots, but couldn't find their first goal. McDaniel took two shots but also couldn't connect for a 0-0 score after 30 minutes of play.
• In the 37th minute of play, Jillan Somers took a corner and snuck in for a putback after the ball bounced off Scarangello's pad.
Hailey Rhine scored a goal of her own with just six seconds left in the third quarter, knocking in a pass by
Gaby Markunas (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg).
• The Bullets took a corner in the 54th minute, and
Morgan Cherry (Phillpsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) received the ball and sent a high pass into the box, which
Alex Wenz finished for her first goal of the season and a 3-0 final score.
