Washington (Md.) scored twice in a two-minute stretch in the first half to key a 3-0 win over Gettysburg.

• Cole McCartney (Voorhees, N.J./St. Joseph's Prep) had the best opportunity for the Bullets, just missing with a header in the first half.

FOR THE FOES
• Ben Strine scored twice for the Shoremen.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Ben Strine created an opening and blasted a shot into the back of the net in the 25th minute before getting a takeaway and firing from the other side of the box in the 27th minute to double the lead.
• Harrison Malone rocketed a shot off the post in the 53rd minute that caromed out to Shepherd Koffie one-timed right back in for a 3-0 lead at the 53:00 mark.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Washington finished with a 12-10 edge in shots and 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
