THE REST OF THE STORY
• Charlie Olson took a pass from Brandon Morse at the top of the box before turning and firing into the side of the net for a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute.
• In the 65th minute,
Noah Holgado (Middletown, Del./Salesianum School) brought the ball down the right side before sending a crossing pass towards the goal.
Michael Sack (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Harriton) volleyed it back into the play, right to the head of a waiting
Chase Sempervive (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt), who went upper-90 with the equalizer. Conor Najera put McDaniel back in front 11 minutes later off a feed from AJ Nardone. A handball in the box gave Gettysburg a penalty kick in the 81st minute. Muller stepped up and blasted it home to earn the tie.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 11-8 edge in shots and 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
• The tie puts the Bullets in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings with two games to play. The top six teams make the postseason. Haverford and Swarthmore – the two teams tied with Gettysburg at the moment – play each other on the final day of the regular season. The Bullets have already tied with both teams this season.
