Gettysburg celebrated senior day in style with a three-set sweep over Bryn Mawr.
THE LEADERS

Kylie Ulrich (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) led the Bullets in kills with 11 and in digs with nine.

Olivia Biggs (Winchester, Va./James Wood) put up five kills and one block.
•
Callie Pidoriano (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) tallied 10 assists and her first career block.
FOR THE FOES
• Elise Perry led the Owls in kills with six to go with one block and four digs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg was off to the races in set one, putting together a 12-2 run to take the early lead. Bryn Mawr countered by capitalizing off a Gettysburg error, but the Bullets immediately responded with another huge run, putting together 11 uninterrupted points for a 23-3 score. Bryn Mawr earned two more points on Gettysburg errors before
Izzy Lugar (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) killed the final ball for a 25-5 first set win.
• The teams traded points early in the second set before Gettysburg put together an 8-0 run to take a 14-6 lead. Bryn Mawr stayed in the game, managing four more points for a 20-10 set score. Gettysburg used kills by three different seniors and a Pidoriano ace to put the second set away, 25-10.
• In the final and most competitive set, Bryn Mawr tied the score three times early on. The Owls kept things within two points until a Gettysburg 9-0 run started the team rolling again.
Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) had three straight aces in the run. The teams traded points to a 21-12 Gettysburg lead before a
Caitlin Shaffrey (Reisterstown, Md./Maryvale Prep) kill kicked off a 4-0 run that ended the final set, 25-12.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Izzy Lugar totaled four kills while Shaffrey put down five.
• With the victory, Gettysburg secures a first-round bye in the upcoming Centennial Conference tournament and will host one of the two semifinals on Friday, Nov. 10. The Bullets would need a win in next Saturday's finale at Washington (Md.) coupled with two Johns Hopkins losses next week to earn the top seed in the tournament.
