The Bullets swam a very competitive meet and knocked down one school record in the dual meet against Johns Hopkins, but fell to the Blue Jays 148-114.

THE LEADERS

Sam Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) took down the 1000 freestyle record with a swim of 9:36.21 to set a new standard. The old record of 9:37.76 was set in 2020.

FOR THE FOES
• Avery Clapp earned first place in two individual events and two relays.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Declan Sheeran (McLean, Va./McLean) placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a swim of 56.99.
•
Max McAlister (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) earned first place in the 200 butterfly, clocking in at 1:53.18. He also took first in the 100 butterfly (50.23).
•
Lorenzo Zullo (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) was the winner of the 50 freestyle (21.25).
Charlie Cross (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) placed second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:08.74.
•
Harry Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) and his brother Sam went 1-2 in the 500 freestyle, with times of 4:40.19 and 4:47.61, respectively.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Zullo also took second place in the 100 freestyle (47.25).
•
Edward Kim (Weston, Conn./Weston) was the second place finisher in the 200 backstroke, swimming a 1:54.51.
• The 400 Freestyle Relay A-Team, of Zullo,
Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./St. Christophers School),
Cort Hobelmann (Nashville, Tenn./Owensboro Catholic), and
Connor Booth (Wallingford, Conn./Suffield Academy) placed second with a swim of 3:09.50.
