LAST TIME OUT: A huge second half from Ursinus lifted the Bears to a 56-40 Centennial Conference victory over Haverford on Tuesday. Ursinus outscored the Fords 37-16 in the second half erasing a five-point halftime deficit. DOING IT WITH DEFENSE: After putting up an average of 76 points per game in their first three non-conference games, the Bears have needed their defense to remain undefeated now that conference play has started. Ursinus was limited to 53 points in a nine-point win over Franklin & Marshall last Tuesday before limiting Haverford to 40 in a 56-40 win on Tuesday night. Overall, the Bears enter play tonight with the fourth-ranked scoring defense in the conference at 46.0 ppg. In all games, the Bears still lead all conference teams in scoring offense at 67.4 ppg but rank fifth in the first two conference games (54.5). The Bears are second in the league in scoring defense for conference-only games (42.0).
