THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg won 17 of 18 events to outpace the other four teams competing at the annual Gettysburg Invitational. The Bullets finished with a team score of 1168.5, doubling the score and then some of second-place Montclair State.Â
SATURDAY NIGHT RECAP
•
Luke McKenna (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) was the winner of the 1650 freestyle with a swim of 16:03.33.
Harry Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) earned second, clocking in at 16:10.72, while his brother
Sam Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) went 16:17.64Â for third place.
Charter Sasseville (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely) finished fourth (16:45.45)

Edward Kim (Weston, Conn./Weston) placed first in the 200 backstroke, touching at 1:54.31.
Conor Vienneau (Newburg, Md./LaPlata) was just behind with a swim of 1:54.99.

Connor Booth (Wallingford, Conn./Suffield Academy) led a 1-2-3 Bullets finish in the 50 freestyle with a swim of 46.96.
Cole Martin (Penn Laird, Va./Spotswood) took second place with a 46.99, and
Lorenzo Zullo (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) touched at 47.06 for third.
Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./St. Christophers School) rounded out the top five with a 47.45.

Charlie Cross (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) completed a hat trick of individual events with a win in the 200 breaststroke. Cross just out touched teammate
Declan Sheeran (McLean, Va./McLean) with a swim of 2:04.20, while Sheeran swam a 2:04.32.
Mason Dillon (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) came in third (2:04.71), and
Trey Mitchell (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Sussex Academy)(2:07.46) and
Jackson Schundler (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) (2:08.80) rounded out the top five.

Max McAlister (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy) completed his sweep of the butterfly events with a 1:52.81 victory in the 200 butterfly. Verosko placed third at 1:57.58.
• The 400 Freestyle Relay B-Team of Kim, Cross,
John Verosko (Gainesville, Va./Patriot), and Sundlun placed second with a 3:09.26 to close out the meet.
SATURDAY MORNING RECAP
• The Gettysburg men took the top two spots in the 200 Medley Relay to kick off the second session. The A-Team of
Cort Hobelmann (Nashville, Tenn./Owensboro Catholic), Sheeran, McAlister, and Zullo put up a time of 1:32.86 to place first and the B-Team (H. Nelson, Mitchell, Sundlun, Martin) placed second with a 1:33.42.
• Cross earned first place in the 400 IM (4:05.26), outpacing teammate Dillon (4:06.90) who took second. McKenna placed third (4:09.84).Â
• McAlister continued his butterfly dominance with a 49.66 100 butterfly that was good for first place and only a few tenths off his school record in the event. Sundlun placed third with a 51.66 while Mitchell was fourth (51.94).
• Martin took first place in the 200 freestyle (1:42.23). Booth was third (1:42.63), Verosko placed fourth (1:43.54), and Zullo took fifth (1:44.52).Â
• Sheeran earned the title in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.75, outtouching Mitchell (57.48) in second.
Jackson Schundler placed fourth (58.67).

Harry Nelson won the 100 backstroke with a swim of 51.51, while McAlister was second at 52.09. Sasseville placed fourth (53.45).Â
• Gettysburg closed out the session with a 1-2 finish in the 800 Freestyle Relay. The A-Team, of
Harry Nelson, McKenna,
Alex McDonnell (Wilton, Conn./Wilton), and Booth won the race with a swim of 6:57.97. The B-Team, of Kim,
Conor Vienneau , Verosko, and Cross took second (6:59.53).
FRIDAY NIGHT RECAP
• In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the A-Team of Zullo, Martin, McAlister, and
Cort Hobelmann placed first with a time of 1:23.40. The B-Relay, of Sundlun,
Rudy Rudatsikira (Kampala, Central, Uganda/Georgetown Prep [Md.]), Mitchell, and Booth took home second place, finishing in 1:24.39.
• Verosko led the Bullets, who claimed the top four spots in the 500 freestyle. Verosko touched first (4:35.72), followed by
Harry Nelson (4:38.16) in second place.
Sam Nelson was third (4:39.03), while McKenna took fourth (4:39.85).
• Gettysburg took the top five finishes in the 200 IM. Cross led the pack with a time of 1:52.98. Dillon followed (1:53.72). Kim placed third with a time of 1:55.70. Sundlun placed fourth (1:55.97) while Sheeran was fifth (1:56.60).
• The 50 Freestyle saw Zullo earn victory with a swim of 21.18. Booth tied for fourth place (21.57).
• In the final event of the first session, the 400 Medley Relay A-Team (Hobelmann, Sheeran, McAlister, Martin) swam a 3:23.36 that was good for first place. The B-Team, of
Harry Nelson, Cross, Mitchell, and Zullo finished in second place (3:26.99).
