THE SKINNY STORY

THE LEADERS
•
Kyle Miller (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) led the Bullets with three of their four hits, including the 100th of his career.
FOR THE FOES
• Jon White went the distance on the mound for the Pioneers, striking out five and scattering four hits.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Tim Holler led off the game with an infield single before a one-out Sam Dickerson single and fielding error put runners at second and third. After an intentional walk loaded the bases, James Wheedon (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Chaminade) got his second strikeout of the frame but a wild pitch allowed Holler to score for a 1-0 lead.
• A two-out Nick Serce home run to right field made it a 2-0 game in the third.
• After infield singles in the first and third,
Kyle Miller laced a double down the line to lead off the sixth inning for his 100th hit. He moved up 90 feet on a wild pitch but White got back-to-back strikeouts to keep the shutout in tact.
• Jack Curabba poked a one-out pinch-hit single into right in the ninth inning before pinch-runner Joe Schatz moved to second a wild pitch and scored on a two-out Holler single to right.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Kyle Miller became the second Gettysburg player to join the 100-hit club in the last week, joining
Mark Seibert as the 50th member of the exclusive group.
• James Wheedon struck out five in five innings while Ryan Wooten (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) fanned four over the final four on the mound.
