THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg recorded a run-rule shutout in the opener before holding on to complete the sweep of Muhlenberg in game two, 3-2. The Bullets captured game one, 8-0.

THE LEADERS
• Julia Smith (Marydel, Md./Queen Anne's County) led the Bullets with four hits on the afternoon, recording to two knocks in each game with four total RBIs.
• Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) picked up the game one victory in the circle and closed out game two for a save.

FOR THE FOES
• Kaya Mahy led the Mules with two hits on the day and a game-two RBI.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After Muhlenberg worked out of a bases-loaded jam with three walks in the first inning of game one, Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) led off the second inning with an infield single. After she moved to second on a groundout, a two-out walk to Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) and double steal put two runners in scoring position. Julia Smith followed with a single to left to score both runners for a 2-0 lead.
• Bailey Quinn (Hanford, Calif./Robinson Secondary School [Va.]) led off the fourth with a double before scoring on a one-out Smith single to make it 3-0. Olivia Moser (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) followed with an RBI double before scoring on an error to make it 5-0.
• Allegra DeCandia (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) reached on an error to start the top of the fifth before back-to-back singles from Jess Campana (Brick, N.J./St. John Vianney) and Goldstein made it 6-0. A two-out Quinn RBI single scored Campana before Goldstein came in on an O'Leary RBI groundout to put the Bullets in run-rule territory. Paige Forry worked around a one-out single in the bottom of the frame for the shutout victory.
• In game two, O'Leary drew a walk to start the third before scoring on a Smith double for a 1-0 lead. Moser followed with a single to plate Smith and double the lead.
• Singles from Kaitlyn Buurman and Sophia Cicchetti put two on with one out in the home fourth before an error allowed Buurman to score and make it a 2-1 game with two outs. Megan Hughes (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) got a strikeout looking to end the inning and preserve the lead.
• Gettysburg got the run back in the top of the sixth. Giovanna Komst (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) singled to lead off the frame before a hit batter and one-out error allowed her to score and push the lead back to two.
• A Mahy double scored Justine Bergara with two outs in the bottom of the inning. After a single and stolen base put the go-ahead runs in scoring position, Paige Forry induced a groundball to get out of trouble and then pitched a 1-2-3 seventh for her first career save.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Carlie Goldstein and Bailey Quinn joined Julia Smith with two hits in the opener. Smith and Allegra DeCandia had two knocks apiece in game two.
• Gettysburg runs its winning streak to eight straight with the victory.
