THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg competed in the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III women's golf championship, finishing 28th overall and failing to make the cut of the top-15 teams for Friday's final round. However, after the completion of the round, the NCAA committee deemed a hole unplayable and, subsequently, the third-round scores will not count as an official round. The Bullets officially finished the championship with a 36-hole total of 749Â (374-375) on the par-73 Mission Inn Resort El Campeon course.
THE LEADERS

Caroline Kurtt (Denver, Colo./Clovis [Calif.]) led the Bullets with a 36-hole total score of 181. She opened the week with the team's lowest official round of the week with a score of 88 before carding a round of 93 on Wednesday. She actually posted the lowest round of the week in Thursday's canceled round with a score of 86.

Ava Nicole Markunas (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) also posted a score of 181 that included a low round of 90 in the second round. She posted an opening-round score of 91.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Abby McMonagle (Troutdale, Ore./Central Catholic) turned in a score of 197 that included a 97 in the first round and 100 in the second round.

Mia Wilutis (Water Mill, N.Y./Southampton) fired a two-day score of 203 that included a round of 92 in the second round. She opened with a round of 111.
•
Natalie Boyd (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) rounded out the competitors for Gettysburg, shooting a score of 209 (98-111).
