GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Five members of the Gettysburg women's track and field team were named to the Division III Academic All-District team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 28.
The following Bullets women's track and field athletes were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Amanda Addesso (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire), an international and global studies and political science major
- Junior Holly Ferrara (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South), a political science major
- Senior Lily Morrell (Frederick, Md./Urbana), a political science major
- Sophomore Olivia Taylor (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson), a history major
- Senior Julia Wert (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), a chemistry major
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve. Up to five eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
