THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had five different individuals earn points to finish eighth at the 2023 Centennial Conference championship hosted by Ursinus. The Bullets finished with 33.5 points.
THE LEADERS
•
Caden Giordano (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) earned the bronze medal in the long jump to elad the Bullets. He placed third with a personal-best jump of 6.69 meters, which ranks 10th in program history. Giordano was also fourth in the triple jump, just missing his second medal of the weekend with the No. 2 jump in program history. He leapt 13.89 meters in his second-to-last jump of the series.

Eric Liedtka (Hopewell, N.J./Notre Dame) finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a second-best time of 57.52 seconds after qualifying eighth with a time of 1:00.04. He was also seventh in the 110 hurdles with a personal-best time of 16.23 seconds. He qualified fifth in a time of 16.42 seconds.

Aidan Kiernan (Pelham Manor, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) was sixth in the 100 with a finals time of 11.35 seconds. He turned in the No. 7 time in program history to qualify sixth with a time of 11.15 seconds.

Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) crossed sixth in the 400 with a time of 51.14 seconds after capturing the final qualifying spot with a time of 51.11 seconds in the prelims.

Jake Dressler (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) cleared 1.75 meters to place seventh in the high jump.
FOR THE FOES:
• Ursinus made it back-to-back team championships, edging Johns Hopkins 199-190.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum School) opened up competition on the track on Friday night with the No. 6 all-time mark in the 10,000, crossing 13th with a time of 32:35.04. He was also 27th in the 1,500 on Sunday with a time of 4;16.27.
•
Michael Sutera (Oak Ridge, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) placed ninth in the decathlon with 4,239 points. He turned in season-best marks in six of the 10 events. He had three events that earned him more than 550 points, posting a time of 12.40 seconds in the 100 (574 points), a time of 55.89 seconds in the 400 (564), and a time of 5:00.55 in the 1,500 (557). Sutera also cleared 3.35 meters in the open pole vault to place eighth in that event.
•
Arthur Keegan (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) just missed the finals in the 100 with a personal-best time of 11.34 to finish ninth. He was also 21st in the 200 with a time of 23.77 seconds.

Andres Nunez-Castaneda (Morrisville, Pa./Notre Dame) placed 12th in the 400 with a personal-best time of 52.34 seconds.
•
Luke DeMato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) finished 17th in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.74 meters.
THE INSIDE STORY

Aidan Kiernan crossed fourth in the 4x100-meter relay with the best time this season and time of 43.22 seconds.

Kyle Northrup joined to turn in a time of 8:34.92 and finish ninth in the 4x800-meter relay.
• Nunez-Castaneda, Lorenger and Northrup joined
Eric Liedtka to place seventh in the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:28.56. The mark ranks 10th all-time in program history.

Joe Kressen (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) finished 17th in the javelin with a throw of 37.83 meters.
•
Nate Smith (Burke, Va./James W. Robinson) was 19th in the hammer with a toss of 29.80 meters.
•
Xander Tate (Bristow, Va./Brentsville District) finished 22nd in the long jump with a mark of 5.13 meters.
