LANCASTER, Pa. – Five members of the Gettysburg men's outdoor track and field team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team by virtue of their finishes at the championship on May 1-3.
Mark Overlander (Marietta, Pa./Donegal),
Dom Roussos (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) and
Jack Regentin (Gettysburg, Pa./Biglerville) earned spots on the first team. Regentin joined
Liam O'Meara (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) on the second team while
Eli Steel (York, Pa./York Country Day School) was tabbed honorable mention.
Overlander won the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.25 meters (13-11 ¼).
Roussos won the javelin with a program record in the modern era of the event, registering a throw of 55.86 meters (183-3).
Regentin won the shot put with toss of 14.58 meters (47-10). He was also second in the discus with a throw of 45.48 meters (149-2).
O'Meara was runner-up to his teammate in the pole vault, clearing 4.10 meters (13-5 ¼) to tie for the silver medal.
Steel finished third in both the long jump and triple jump. In the long jump, he turned in a jump of 6.53 meters (21-5 ¼) before leaping 13.75 meters (45-1 ½), which ranks fourth in program history.
Asher Leuzzi (Weston, Conn./Weston) garnered a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Bullets return to action at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday.
