THE REST OF THE STORY

• A more competitive set two yielded a tie as late as 8-all. The teams traded points and a Gettysburg error made it a one-point set, before the Bullets scored four straight to give them a 15-9 lead. The Bullets and Lions again went almost point-for-point to make it an 18-13 game, before Gettysburg scored the final seven points to seal set two, 25-13. Brooke Lauletta (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown East) had two kills and a block in the stretch.
• In the third and final set, the score was tied as late as 10-all before Penn State Mont Alto put together a 5-1 run to give them their biggest lead in any of the three sets, 15-11. The Bullets quickly tied things up with a 5-1 run of their own to make it 16-all, and the Lions got as close as 20-19 before Gettysburg scored five of the final six points to yield a 25-20 final set score and a 3-0 match win.
