OPENING KICK: Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 33rd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (2-2-1, 0-0-1 CC) and Haverford (1-1-5, 0-0-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1984. The Bullets lead the all-time series 24-7-1 have won three straight in the series. The last Fords victory was 2-0 at Haverford in 2018. 

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg scored once in the first half and the defense did the work the rest of the way to preserve the shutout for a 1-0 win at Haverford last season. Aidan Giquinto led the Bullets with the game's lone tally. Dylan Ioffreda made five saves for the Fords. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Two Gettysburg goals, one in each half, stood up as the only goals of the game as the offense controlled play and the defense shut out Catholic 2-0 on Wednesday. Michael Sack came off the bench in the first half and netted the Bullets' first goal of the game - and the first of his career - in the 32nd minute. Kwaku Marfo-Sarbeng led the Cardinals with five shots. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: Freshman Michael Sack netted his first collegiate goal in the 32nd minute on Wednesday. Playing in just his fifth game for the Bullets, the rookie took a long pass from Aidan Muller and turned on his defender before firing between the keeper and left post to get his team on the board first.

EXPERIENCE PAYS OFF: Chase Sempervive notched his third goal in five games this season and has now found the back of the net in back-to-back games. On the other end of the field, Kevin Muhic backstopped a defense that posted its first shutout of the season. Catholic, which came into the game having scored 10 times in its first six games, fired 20 shots but Muhic turned away all five that were on frame. 

LAST TIME OUT: Haverford was edged by host Stockton on Wednesday night, falling 1-0 in a battle of unbeaten squads. Dylan Ioffreda took a tough-luck defeat in the midweek nightcap, with six saves between the pipes. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

STALEMATES ALL AROUND: The Fords have played five of their first seven opponents this season to draws. Haverford recorded five ties during all of 2022. Wednesday night at Stockton was the first time in all of 2023 that the Fords played a game in which one team failed to find the back of the net. The team's one win was a 2-1 victory over William Paterson on Sept. 9. Haverford has played two draws to 1-all finals and two to 2-all finals after opening the season with a 3-all deadlock with MIT.
