THE SKINNY STORY
A windy and wet night produced plenty of opportunities but both Gettysburg and Haverford were each only able to come away with one first-half tally in a 1-all deadlock.
THE LEADERS

James Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) scored the lone goal for the Bullets, scoring in the final 70 seconds of the first half.
FOR THE FOES
• Cyrus Nasseri netted the first goal of the game for the Fords.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the 21st minute, Cyrus Nasseri corralled a ball on the right side of the box and placed a low shot off the side of his just inside the post for a 1-0 lead. After a back-and-forth remainder of the first half, Gettysburg found the equalizer in the 44th minute.
Max Sams (Farmington, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) sent a throw-in towards the box that
James Blake was able to blast into the left side of the net for the equalizer.
• The Bullets carried play for most of the second half but couldn't net the go-ahead tally.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 17-6 advantage in shots, including 10-1 in the second half, and 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Max Sams registered their first collegiate points in the contest.
