Gettysburg College Athletics

Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 83rd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (2-2-2, 0-0-2 CC) and Dickinson (4-2-1, 0-1-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1930. The Bullets lead the all-time series 50-25-7 have won three straight in the series. The last Red Devils victory came in Carlisle in the opening round of 2018 CC tournament, 1-0.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Three different players scored a goal for then-No. 21 Gettysburg, leading them to a 3-1 victory at Dickinson last season. Mike Carracino scored his first goal of the season, and the first goal of the game, in the 44th minute of play. Luke Finkielstein contributed the Red Devils' only goal in the 77th minute. LAST TIME OUT: A windy and wet night produced plenty of opportunities but both Gettysburg and Haverford were each only able to come away with one first-half tally in a 1-all deadlock on Saturday. James Blake scored the lone goal for the Bullets, scoring in the final 70 seconds of the first half. Cyrus Nasseri netted the first goal of the game for the Fords. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

ROOKIE BIG TIMING: For the second game in a row, a Gettysburg freshman found the back of the net for his first collegiate tally. After Michael Sack netted his first collegiate goal in the 32nd minute on Wednesday, James Blake blasted home a shot from classmate Max Sams in the final 70 seconds of the first half on Saturday. Those are the first points scored by Bullet rookies this season. Five different freshmen have multiple starts on the year.

IT'S ON US: This week is It's On Us Week of Action. All of the Gettysburg home teams today will be partnering with Office of Sexual Respect and Title IX for It's On Us games today. LAST TIME OUT: Dickinson went in search of their first Centennial Conference win on Saturday afternoon at a very damp Muhlenberg College. A 16th-minute tally by Zack Mikuta, however, would standup as the winner for the Mules for a 1-0 win at Varsity Field. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

ALL BUNCHED UP: The Red Devils have the No. 3 scoring offense in the conference this season, averaging 1.86 goals per game. However, that scoring has been condensed among only five players this season. Ethan Jarden and Finn Weber have each scored four goals to account for two-thirds of Dickinson's offense in 2023. Saul Iwowa and Tyson Burling have each scored twice while Shane Mundorf has one goal.
