LANCASTER, Pa. – Rocco Abdinoor (Edgewater, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis), a sophomore on the Gettysburg football team, and Walle Harwigsson Lundblad (Malmo, Sweden/Rabun Gap Nacoochee School), a sophomore, have been named Centennial Conference (CC) Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 1-2.

Abdinoor earned the Offensive Player of the Week honors while Harwigsson claimed the Special Teams Player of the Week nod. It was the first career conference weekly honors for both players.

Abdinoor led the Bullets offensively in a 40-20 win over Juniata. He finished with 385 yards of total offense – the most by a Gettysburg player since 2015 – and four total touchdowns. He threw for 205 yards, completing 15 of 27 with two touchdowns, while running for another 180 yards on 18 carries with two scores, averaging 10 yards per carry.

Harwigsson returned three kickoffs for 118 yards, including an 88-yard return for a touchdown in the second quarter. It was the Bullets' first kickoff return for a touchdown since the 2012 opener. He also caught five passes for 75 yards to finish with 193 all-purpose yards.

Gettysburg returns to action at home against Montclair State on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
