The Bullets won one event and racked up seven second-place finishes in their first home meet of 2024 against Washington and Lee.
THE LEADERS
Sam Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) was the lone Gettysburg event winner, taking first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:57.08, just out touching second place by three tenths of a second.
FOR THE FOES
• Dalton Jobe won three individual events and one relay.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The 200 Medley Relay A-Team of
Cort Hobelmann (Nashville, Tenn./Owensboro Catholic),
Declan Sheeran (McLean, Va./McLean),
Trey Mitchell (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Sussex Academy), and
Connor Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Suffield Academy) placed second with a swim of 1:36.92.
• In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the A-Team of
Cole Martin (Penn Laird, Va./Spotswood), Booth, Hobelmann, and
Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./St. Christophers School) took another second-place finish (1:27.83).

Edward Kim (Weston, Conn./Weston) and
Harry Nelson (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) went 2-3 in the 100 backstroke. Kim clocked in at 52.53 while Nelson swam a 53.72.
• Kim also placed second in the 500 freestyle (4:51.30).
• Sheeran swam a 1:00.03 to place second in the 100 breaststroke.

Luke McKenna (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) was second in the 200 butterfly (1:57.65).
•
Charter Sasseville (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely) placed second in the 200 backstroke (1:59.23), while McKenna was third (1:59.90).

Lorenzo Zullo (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) took silver in the 200 IM (1:59.44).
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Charlie Cross (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) took third in the 200 freestyle (1:47.46) and in the 100 freestyle (49.23).
• Martin swam to third place in the 50 freestyle with a 22.11.
•
Mason Dillon (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) was third in the 200 breaststroke, clocking in at 2:14.61.
