OPENING TIP: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 50th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (12-3, 9-1 CC) and Washington (Md.) (7-7, 4-5 CC) in a series that dates back to 1994. The Bullets lead the all-time series, 38-11.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg and Washington (Md.) played two competitive quarters before the Bullets opened up a 20-point lead over Washington in the third quarter and held on late to earn the 69-57 win. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored the first 14 points of the third quarter to open up a 28-point lead, defeating McDaniel 71-42 on Wednesday. Mackenzie Szlosek led the Bullets with 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting. She also added six rebounds and three steals. Shinya Lee added 11 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots. DEFENSE TRAVELS: Gettysburg has been playing lockdown defense, entering the weekend ranked 11th in Division III in scoring defense at 48.8 points per game. Wednesday marked the seventh time in 15 games that the Bullets have held their opponent to 42 or fewer points. Marietta is the only team this season to score more than 66 points against Gettysburg. Since that game, however, the squad is limiting teams to just 41.2 points per game. The Bullets are also 12th in Division III in blocks per game (5.8) and 18th in field-goal percentage defense (.319).

LAST TIME OUT: Johns Hopkins got a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds from Greta Miller and held off a late charge from visiting Washington to come away with a 47-43 win on Wednesday. Karry Kelliher led the Shorewomen with 14 points and three blocks. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

GOING LOW: In the last six Washington games, neither team has reached the 60-point mark. The Shoremen have not scored more than 53 during their current 2-4 stretch. In fact, the team has failed to reach 40 more times (2) than it has scored more than 50 (1) since the 71-37 win over Bryn Mawr on Dec. 7. Washington is currently third in the conference in scoring defense at 49.2 points per game but is eighth in scoring offense at 52.0 ppg.
