LANCASTER, Pa. –
Peter Schelling (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), a senior on the Gettysburg football team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 16.
It is the first time he has earned the honor.
Schelling led the Bullets (2-8, 1-5 CC) in the finale against Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, registering 187 all-purpose yards. Included in that total were two kickoff returns for 104 yards. He returned the game's opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown.
For the season, he led the team with 885 all-purpose yards. He had 424 kickoff return yards and 384 yards rushing to go with 77 receiving yards. He had two total touchdowns on the year.
