LAST TIME OUT: The Bullets closed the 2023-24 season with a 19-7 record, falling to Swarthmore 84-72 in the CC semifinals.  

THE FAVES: Gettysburg earned top billing in the Centennial Conference preseason poll. The Bullets were chosen as the preseason favorite after earning the top seed last season but losing in the conference semifinals. Gettysburg earned 78 points - seven better than second-place Johns Hopkins - and seven of the 10 available first-place votes. 

BACK FOR MORE: The Bullets returns their top four scorers from last season and five of their top six. Jordan Stafford, the reigning CC Player of the Year, averaged a team-best 14.8 points per game and shot better than 53 percent from the floor. His backcourt mates Carl Schaller and Nate Williams averaged 11.2 and 10.1 ppg, respectively, while Akim Joseph was at 11.1 ppg. Joseph also pulled down 5.8 rebounds per game and Williams grabbed 5.0 rpg. Schaller (913) and Stafford (805) are both within striking distance of 1,000 career points this season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Knights finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 17-9 and went 10-4 in MAC Freedom play, earning the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament and falling 73-70 to No. 2 Stevens.

THE WORD ON ARCADIA: The Knights were chosen third in the MAC Freedom preseason poll with one first-place vote. Stevens was the preseason favorite with 47 points, edging DeSales and its 44 points. Arcadia had 37 points, 11 clear of fourth-place Lebanon Valley. The Knights will have to replace three-time first-team all-conference and all-region selection Jalen Watkins, who averaged 16.5 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.0 blocks last season. Arcadia is without its top four scorers from 2023-24. Joshua Okocha and Dominic Vazquez will lead the squad this season, averaging 6.7 and 6.1 ppg, respectively, last season. Both canned more than 20 3-pointers while Okocha pulled down 5.5 rebounds per agme and Vazquez dished out 54 assists.

LAST TIME OUT: The Brewers finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 10-15.

THE WORD ON VASSAR: The Brewers return their top four scorers from a season. Shea Fitzgerald led the Brewers as a rookie with 14.6 points per game and was named an All-Liberty League honorable mention. He also finished as the team leader in steals (30), 3-pointers made (42), field goals made (124) and was second in assists (59). Avery Lee also returns after averaging 10.4 points per game as a freshman - second on the squad. Luke Adams added 8.5 ppg and finished with a team-high 62 assists. JP Miranda returns after averaging 7.1 points per contest along with Nathan Denham, who led the squad in rebounding at 4.6 rpg.

LAST TIME OUT: The Polar Bears finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 13-12.

THE WORD ON OHIO NORTHERN: The Polar Bears enter the new year off a season in which they finished one game over .500 for their first winning season since 2017-18, including going 8-10 in the highly competitive OAC and just missing out on the six-team conference tournament. Carter Reese is back for Ohio Northern after pacing the squad as a freshman with 14.5 points per game. He earned All-OAC honorable mention accolades, leading the team and league with 57 3-pointers. He was second on the team with 63 assists and third with 37 steals. Including Reese, the Polar Bears bring back their top seven scorers and all but one player who averaged more than 3.0 points per game. Will Miller (13.2 ppg) and Jadi Cunningham Jr. (10.9) both also averaged double digits in the scoring column. Cunningham also pulled down a team-best 5.4 rebounds per game and dished out 5.3 assists per game.
