THE FAVES: Gettysburg earned top billing in the Centennial Conference preseason poll. The Bullets were chosen as the preseason favorite after earning the top seed last season but losing in the conference semifinals. Gettysburg earned 78 points - seven better than second-place Johns Hopkins - and seven of the 10 available first-place votes.
BACK FOR MORE: The Bullets returns their top four scorers from last season and five of their top six. Jordan Stafford, the reigning CC Player of the Year, averaged a team-best 14.8 points per game and shot better than 53 percent from the floor. His backcourt mates Carl Schaller and Nate Williams averaged 11.2 and 10.1 ppg, respectively, while Akim Joseph was at 11.1 ppg. Joseph also pulled down 5.8 rebounds per game and Williams grabbed 5.0 rpg. Schaller (913) and Stafford (805) are both within striking distance of 1,000 career points this season.
