THE LEADERS

•

FOR THE FOES

THE REST OF THE STORY

• A two-out
Gabby Wood (Dalton, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) single up the middle, wild pitch and
Marissa Markel RBI double tied the game in the next half-inning.
• Ashley Lenser led off the home third with a home run to help her own cause before a walk and two-run Kaylie Griffin long ball stretched the lead to 4-1. A Callie Rosser three-run home run and Matylinski solo homer pushed the lead to 8-1 in the fourth.
• Singles from Mariana Alejandro and Rosser ended the game in the bottom of the fifth.
• After leaving the bases loaded in the third inning against Wisconsin Lutheran,
Allegra DeCandia (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) doubled to lead off the fourth.
Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) drew a walk before
Katherine Speltz (East Greenwich, R.I./Moses Brown School) and
Alyna Balewitz (Kendall Park, N.J./Lawrenceville School) each pinch ran. Clare Sottle (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Spackenkill) followed with a single up the middle to load the bases. A fielder's choice scored the first run of the game. An RBI ground made it 2-0 before
Audrey Bergan (Encinitas, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) beat out an infield single and scored
Zoe Brennan (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) for a 3-0 lead. Bergan then stole second, took third on a throwing error and then scored on a second throwing error for a 4-0 lead. Singles from Markel and
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) set the final margin.
