OPENING FACEOFF: Today's non-conference game marks the 19th all-time meeting between No. 13 Gettysburg (2-2) and Denison (2-3) in a series that dates back to 1980. The Bullets lead the all-time series 14-4 but the Big Red won last year's meeting 10-9 in Grantville.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Both Gettysburg and Denison held multi-goal leads during the contest but, ultimately, a four-goal run late in the third quarter into the fourth quarter proved the difference in the Big Red's 10-9 win last season. Ethan Kessler led the Bullets with two goals, one assist, and one ground ball. Brooks Crowley scored three goals for the Big Red. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Washington and Lee, ranked 12th, outscored seventh-ranked Gettysburg in three of four quarters, including starting with a 6-0 advantage after 15 minutes en route to a 15-8 victory. Jack Dunleavy led the Bullets with three goals and one assist. Alex Brown scored five goals for the Generals. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

NO. 13 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped to 13th after the loss to Washington and Lee at home last Saturday in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll.

MULTIPLE FACTORS: Jack Dunleavy has registered multiple points in each of the first four games of the season. In three of the four games, he has recorded multiple goals, including back-to-back hat tricks in the last two outings. He netted a season-best five points against Stevenson on Mar. 2 with three goals and two assists before tallying four last weekend against Washington and Lee with one assist to go with his three goals.

LAST TIME OUT: In a rematch of their NCAA tournament third-round matchup last season, then-No. 19 Denison this time fell 13-4 at No. 13-ranked Lynchburg on Sunday. In addition to leading Denison with two points, Nick Vance (1 goal, 1 assist) recorded four groundballs and was joined by Jack Sload also with four while faceoff man Grant Larson had five. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

UNLUCKY 13?: In a weird scheduling quick, today is the third straight time Denison will face the 13th-ranked team in the USILA coaches' poll. The Big Red dropped those first two meetings. On Mar. 3, Denison traveled to Lexington and fell 13-11 to Washington and Lee before dropping a 13-4 decision at Lynchburg on Sunday. The Generals scored twice in the final 8:14 to break an 11-all tie and notch the victory. Denison got the first goal against the Hornets but the hosts then responded with four straight and 12 of the next 14 to roll to the win.
