•
Charlie Johnson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and
Jackson Hearn (Houston, Texas/Episcopal Bellaire) both put up two goals and three assists for five points. Johnson also caused three turnovers and picked up four ground balls.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• A win at the faceoff X by
Michael Voehringer (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep) led to a quick goal by
Patrick Maroney (Hingham, Mass./Boston College H.S.) from a Hearn feed. Gettysburg made it a 3-0 game just under eight minutes later after back-to-back tallies by
Quinton Mather (Avon, Conn./Avon Old Farms) and Dunleavy, forcing a Denison timeout. Out of the break, neither team found the back of the net for the following 6:55 for a 3-0 Gettysburg lead after one.
• Tommy Quinson broke up the shutout almost 10 minutes into the second quarter. A Gettysburg failed clear allowed Nate Kay to scoop the ball to Quinson for the Big Red's first goal of the day, which would be the only additional goal scored heading into halftime.
• Denison made it a 3-0 run in the first 4:17 of the second half, tying the game 3-all. After two shots were off the mark, Jack Chace dished to Luke Fisher for his first of the day. Another Gettysburg turnover allowed Fisher to again finish for his second goal in three minutes. Mather scored again for the Bullets for the first time since the first quarter to reestablish the lead, 4-3, and Hearn got a pass to Johnson who finished to make it 5-3. A man-up tally by Mather allowed Gettysburg to double up on Denison, but Quinson cut the deficit back to two with 2:10 left in the third period. An unassisted Dunleavy goal in the final 40 ticks of the third quarter gave Gettysburg a 7-4 advantage heading into the final 15 minutes.
• Maroney started the fourth quarter as he did the first, getting a pass off the faceoff win and taking it to the house for an 8-4 Gettysburg lead. Goals by Hearn and Johnson in the next 90 seconds made it 10-4, before Fisher passed to Michael Cassidy for Denison's fifth goal of the day. The Big Red put together another 3-0 run with two more goals by Brady Monturio and Nate Kay within an 11-second stretch. However, Gettysburg finished out the final 5:09 with three straight goals by Dunleavy, Maroney, and Hearn to seal the 13-7 victory.
