THE SKINNY STORY
After a slow offensive first quarter, No. 6 Gettysburg ran off nine straight goals in a 8-minute, 17-second span of the second quarter to pull away from Swarthmore and ultimately open the conference schedule with an 18-7 victory.
THE LEADERS

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) led the Bullets with five goals and one assist to match her career high with six points.

Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) chipped in a season-high eight draw controls to go with two goals, one assist, a ground ball and caused turnover.

Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) added five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

• Isabela Bloomquist and Aubree Daugherty led the Garnet with three goals apiece.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Isabela Bloomquist opened up the scoring, staking Swarthmore to a 1-0 lead at the 11:20 mark of the first quarter.
Julia Daly drew Gettysburg even, taking an
Ella Patterson (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) pass off an awarded free position to tie the game with 4:24 showing.
• Gillian Will put the Garnet back in front off an Abigail Love pass just 25 seconds into the second quarter.
Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) finished a solo run with 11:18 to play and opened the floodgates for Gettysburg.
Julie Breedveld (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) converted a free-position attempt just 32 seconds later for a 3-2 lead. Daly needed just 24 more seconds to make it 4-2 then the sophomore completed her hat trick with an 8-meter shot at the 8:31 mark.
Emily Crane finished a solo run three minutes later for a 6-2 lead. Daly took a pass in front from
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) and finished high with 4:19 on the clock. Basso hit
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) for an 8-2 lead just 24 ticks later. Daly connected with Breedveld, who found an opening on the doorstep with 3:13 showing and then directly off the ensuing draw, Crane hit O'Connell for a 10-2 lead. Bloomquist broke up the run with a free-position goal at the 1:38 mark but Daly pushed the lead back to eight just 5.9 seconds before the intermission.

Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) scored her first collegiate goal with 11:51 showing in the third quarter before Basso tallied nearly two minutes later for a 10-goal advantage. Three straight goals from Aubree Daugherty closed the margin to 13-6 with 12:29 to play in the fourth quarter.

Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) found the back of the net for her first point of the day with 7:40 to play, sparking another five-goal run. Sullivan then added assists on the three straight goals that spanned just 1 minute, 13 seconds. She found Breedveld with 5:41 showing, Crane with 5:07 on the clock and
Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) with 4:28 remaining for an 11-goal lead. O'Connell made it 18-6 with 3:02 to play before Bloomquist capped her hat trick in the final three seconds.
THE INSIDE STORY
• With her three points,
Jordan Basso now has 287 for her career and takes over second place by herself on the Bullets' all-time scoring list.
• Gettysburg doubled up Swarthmore in shots, finishing with a 34-17 advantage.
• The Bullets won 17 of 26 draw controls on the afternoon.

Annie Nikolic (Paoli, Pa./Conestoga), who was a key part of the success at the draw circle, added four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
