THE SKINNY STORY
A third-inning, three-run home run staked Gettysburg to a 3-0 lead and the pitching staff held Gwynedd Mercy down to secure a 3-2 victory.
THE LEADERS

Cole Wong (New York, N.Y./Xavier) fanned six and allowed just one run on three hits in five innings on the mound.

Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) provided all the offense that was needed with his third home run of the season.
FOR THE FOES
• Sam Junker led the Griffins with two hits and drove in both runs.
THE REST OF THE STORY

David Preziuso (Selbyville, Del./Caravel Academy) walked to lead off the third inning before stealing second and third.
Tristan Neels (San Diego, Calif./Francis W. Parker) followed with a walk of his own then swiped second.
Jack Pistner then blasted a three-run home run to right field to stake Gettysburg to a 3-0 lead.
• With one out in the fifth, Ryan Horner was hit by a pitch. After a strikeout, Cooper Root singled to right to put runners at first and second with two outs. Sam Junker then poked a single up the middle, scoring Horner to make it a 3-1 game.
• Horner once again took a free pass in the seventh, drawing a walk to lead off the frame and moving to second on a sacrifice. With two outs, Junker singled to left, scoring Horner to cut the margin to one.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Tyler Lizell (Upper Dublin, Pa./Upper Dublin) closed out the final two innings on the mound, striking out one and allowing just one baserunner to pick up his fourth save of the season.
•
David Preziuso stole his 15th and 16th bases of the season, which leads the conference.
• The Bullets have won seven games in a row for their longest winning streak since 2017.
