OPENING FACEOFF: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 44th all-time meeting between No. 11 Gettysburg (5-3, 2-0 CC) and Haverford (6-4, 2-0 CC) in a series that dates back to 1980. The Bullets lead the all-time series 40-3 and have won the last 13 in a row. The last Fords victory was by an 11-8 score in the CC championship on May 2, 2010.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg took a 6-0 lead into the second quarter, building a lead as large as 11-2 en route to a 14-8 win at Haverford last season. Declan Harrigan led the Bullets' defense with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Kyle Howard paced the attack, recording four goals and two assists. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored five times in a 2-minute, 39-second span early in the second quarter as part of a 14-0 first half, leading to a 14-5 win over McDaniel on Wednesday. Charlie Johnson led the Bullets with a career-high six points on four goals and two assists. Quinton Mather added a hat trick of his own with three goals and an assist. NO. 11 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped one spot to No. 11 in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll when Amherst jumped the Bullets after a 9-8 win last Wednesday. 

GOOSE EGG: The Gettysburg defense posted a first-half shutout against McDaniel on Wednesday. The Bullets built a 14-0 lead through the first 25 minutes of the game that included a five-goal barrage in 2:39 and seven-goal onslaught in 4:21. The defense limited the Green Terror to just four first-half shots - only two of which were on cage, the second of which didn't come until the final two minutes of the second period. In total, Gettysburg finished the first half with a 30-4 advantage in shots over the first 30 minutes and 48-23 for the game. McDaniel also had 12 first-half turnovers to the Bullets' three.

LAST TIME OUT: Haverford secured its third consecutive win on Wednesday, claiming a 16-7 victory over Washington. This win marked Haverford's first triumph over Washington since the 2018 season and equals the program's largest margin of victory against the Shoremen. Haverford's multi-faceted attack was led by hat-tricks from Jonathan Moon, Evan Wolpert, and Reid Tietjen. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

TRIPLE THREAT: Reid Tietjen, Evan Wolpert and Matt Richards have all scored more than 20 goals in the Fords' opening 10 games of the season. Tietjen has team highs of 36 goals, 17 assists and 53 points. His 3.60 goals and 5.30 points per game are tops in the conference by a significant margin. He has multiple goals in all 10 games, including six games with four or more tallies. He has six games with five or more points. Wolpert is second on the squad with 26 goals while Richards has 23. Wolpert tallied his sixth hat trick of the season - and third straight - on Wednesday. Richards has only played seven games and has four outings with four or more goals.
