OPENING FACEOFF: Today's non-conference game marks the 30th all-time meeting between No. 7 Gettysburg (2-1) and No. 12 Washington and Lee (3-1) in a series that dates back to 1987. The Bullets lead the all-time series 18-11 and have won four in a row in the series. The last Generals victory was by a 13-8 margin in 2018.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg scored five straight goals in the second half to break open a 9-7 game and defeat No. 7 Washington and Lee 15-9 last season. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg used a five-goal second quarter and strong goalie play to escape 17th-ranked Stevenson 11-9 on Saturday. Chase Morgan saved a career-high 20 shots and picked up two ground balls. Charlie Johnson led the team offensively with four goals and one assist, along with four ground balls. NO. 7 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped one spot to seventh in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll. The Bullets have been ranked between sixth and ninth each week of the 2024 poll.

HEAD OF THE CLASS: Freshman Charlie Johnson earned Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday after leading the Bullets to an 11-9 win on Saturday. He recorded four goals and one assist on the afternoon while also grabbing four ground balls. For the season, Johnson leads the team with six goals and is second on the squad with nine points. He also has 13 ground balls and two caused turnovers. He is the second Gettysburg player to be named Offensive Player of the Week this season.

LAST TIME OUT: No. 12 Washington and Lee ended the game on an 8-3 run to turn a three-goal, third-quarter deficit into a 13-11 victory over No. 18 Denison on Sunday. Joey Allen posted a team-high four points and three assists to lead the offense. Tyler Spano took all 27 face-offs for the Generals, finishing with 14 wins and 10 ground balls. TRIPLE THREAT: Washington and Lee has five players who have already reached double-digit goals through the first four contests of the season. Hillis Burns leads the team with 13 goals, recording a hat trick in all four games this season. Alex Brown also has four three-goal games this season and is second on the team with 12 goals. James Haley also has 12 points that includes a five-goal outing against Bridgewater. Burns also has six assists for a team-high 19 points.
