NO. 15 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped to No. 15 in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll after falling to then-No. 16 Swarthmore on Saturday.
THANK YOU, SENIORS!: Today is the final regular-season home game for 10 Gettysburg seniors. Over the last four seasons, the group has helped the Bullets to an overall record of 39-19, including a 20-7 mark in conference play. They have also qualified for the Centennial Conference tournaments in both seasons there has been a tournament and advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2022 and 2023. They have also been active in the community, helping support The Headstrong Foundation, Bringing Hope Home, the American Heart Association, Adams County Special Olympics, the Painted Turtle Farm, the Gettysburg Homeless Shelter, the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen, Ruth’s Harvest, Lace Up for Cancer, One Love and the local Gettysburg and New Oxford youth lacrosse programs, all while maintaining a cumulative GPA of a 3.42.
DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME: After this afternoon's home finale, the Bullets have two remaining conference road games. A win this afternoon would all but lock up a conference tournament appearance. The win today coupled with at least one win in the final two - at Dickinson and at Washington - would secure a first-round bye. Gettysburg needs a 3-0 finish to the season to assure a home semifinal game.
